Who said there isn't fresh kids in London?

In the summer last year, I went to the Reset. It was a union of EXCLUSIVE streetwear brands that came together at the Nike 1948 store in Shoreditch (Batemans Row). Above is the picture of all the teams of brands. It was a sick day. Everything there was just out of this world. I went when I was a complete stranger to fashion. I looked like a dunce! The main attractions were TRAPSTAR. SECOND SON. TRINOTRON. CASSETTE PLAYA.
I bought some second son twill jeans. I still have them today but they are mashed! There will be a 3rd Reset sometime this year so UK people, keep your eyes peeled.

Pair of The Week.

Decided that the next pair of shoes I get will be Alifes. They are coming out with some sick pairs that can easily be worn with pretty much anything. Thats why they are my favourite pair of the week. This colourway is just crazy. Everybody High is definetly the best Alife shoe you can get, followed by the mids. The worst pair by far is the Chukkas, they need to get rid of them asap. I neeed this pair though...

If I could have picked another pair for this week it would definetly have been the Lost Dharma Initiative x Nike Blazer. Blazers are my favourite Nike trainers, especially the SB pairs. Check out the colab below:

Master Shortie.

Theo Kerlin, a musician from London. He's got really good style so check him out at www.MasterShortie.com. He was one of the first UK rappers to go the skinny jeans route and kinda got me into this shit. Check his Fresh 64 SBTV Video at the bottom of the post, Peace.

Seven Questions with Jevon from Taste the Candy.

Taste the candy is no doubt one of the most successful blogs out there at the moment. It combines music, fashion, style and culture all in a post and this is why it has clocked up almost 400 followers. As interesting as the blog is, so is the creator; Jevon. I was lucky enough to get the chance to ask him a few questions about his blog and come up in fashion.

So tell us about yourself Jevon...

So about me, Im a 16 year old kid from the Big city! haha AKA NY just trying to strive for my dreams, The goals in life I've set in life and turn them into reality. Some of these goals Include Fashion, music and being a fashion icon to the world and more such as running my own business and such. Also have my mom living right you feel me? Thats the short run down of me.

When did you first pick up an interest in fashion?

I'd say I first got into fashion back in middle school, I really wanted to be out of the box and then I found out by dressing different I could show my individuality Like just being different from the whole black and white style everyone had, Like for example Back when I was in Middle school everyone rocked the whole Ed Hardy type stuff, I wanted to be different from that Because I was tired of everyone wearing it. it got played out to me like a song would if you herd it over and over. But Don't get me wrong Ed hardy was Dope back in the day and still is... What I am trying to say is i like to be original.

Your blog has had so many dope posts, but out of all of them, which would you say is your favourite one?

Umm, Thats a hard one, What was my Favorite post of all time... I would probably have to say back in the day when Diggy Simmons made a comment on his blog saying "Jevon I like how you keep it Original man it makes me happy when I see a blog from my followers that have blogs that show what they really like and blogging isn't really a way of I'd say getting myself out in the fashion world more I just show me through my blog and everything I do with my time too and the "look" of my line is going to be ME its been hard to explain to the creative team designer etc. because Its not something you say its more something you can see." I would say this was my favorite post because It was so inspirational to me, I remember I was so down about shit back then because I got a lot of shit about being into fashion like people would say that shits gay, Your not going to make it shit like that, But once i read that I was like wow... This kid gets me, this kid is real.

You've almost reached 400 followers which is a massive achievement, but, when you first started, how did you get your name and blog known by people?

Man, Im so grateful that I almost have 400 Followers on my blog.. Shouts out to everyone EVERY single one of you guys following me. I would say I got my name out and about by constantly editing my blog over and over again until it was presentable then as days went by in the summer I would ask people to check out my blog. I would say to anyone that wants followers First work hard on your blog, PUT in dedication and time into it, Next I would say To connect with anyone thats into Fashion. Thats how I got my followers.

What is your favourite quote?

My Favorite quote would be "I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody." -Bill Cosby. Thats the most straight forward quote I've herd about success in a While. There's many different quotes I like for different reasons but that would be my favorite quote of success.

What has been your greatest challenge and accomplishment on your blog / life in fashion so far?

My greatest Challenge in my life as a fashion lover and blogger so far would probably be making my own name so far on this blog. Without the help of anyone editing my blog, Or any of that stuff, Everything I do is ME. Well there were a few times of my name being said here and there by Diggy, However I've been creating my own name in fashion and blogging. My greatest accomplishment would be receiving the chance to attend a fashion class for a few months thats coming up soon, Can't wait for that to sky rocket my sketches and hopefully get a chance to make them come to life.

What is your definition of style?

My definition of style would be the most obvious, Which is dressing in clothes that you love, Clothes that are different than what everyone else is. Something that express your personalty and what your about. I've found out dressing different is the best way to express what your about, and can help you out when your feeling down. All you have to keep in mind is "I don't give a fuck what you think about me and what I wear. i rock this cause I LIKE IT." =D.

Any last words?

My last words are, THANKS to YOU and everyone thats been holding me down since day one. I can not thank you guys enough and I love the feeling of getting comments and emails saying "Your blog is DOPE" Thats the best feeling in the world that people actually appreciate what you do and what you love. So thank you everyone.
Pce&Love everyone
